The course includes five lessons which take place from Monday
to Friday from 5 - 7 p.m. Each of these lessons consists of a theoretical part
and a wine tasting with at least five different wines. Various wine-cultivating
regions are examined during the course of the seminar including famous regions from which the acclaimed
DOC- and DOCG-wines such as Chianti, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino
originate. In the concluding session, wines from the coast of Livorno, which is
one of the most outstanding cultivation areas in the world, will be examined:
Montescudaio, Bolgheri and Val di Cornia, which is the home of wines like Sassicaia, Ornellaia,
Rovo, Paleo and Gualdo del Re.
The seminar culminates in a splendid dinner at the Osteria Enoteca
"La Cinquantina", a beautiful restaurant situated in the gardens of
a 19th century villa. The traditional Tuscan dinner is led by the maître de cuisine
Umberto Creatini. A visit to a producer of DOC - wines is also an integral part
